Hailing from Sydney and being drawn into the Dj scene at Sydney’s first and only underground ‘Dancehall’, cemented Renée’s (AKA Dj RaggaRae) relationship with reggae music.

Travelling Jamaica, Renée began collecting the musical heartbeat of the island nation, and on moving to Darwin, firmly found her home joining the crew of Club Kongo – Darwin’s long standing and much loved world music nights.

Furthering travel to Southern Africa, her music discovery broadened and fell in love with the hypnotic afro beats and chants from the continent.

Renée loves taking her audience on a world music journey accenting well known old school hits amongst new bangers and unheard beats, lyrics and language.

Always celebrating the culture of Reggae, Renée effortlessly weaves into her sets genres such as Dancehall, Afrobeats, Amapiano & AfroHouse, which always gets even the most unsuspecting punter moving on the dance floor.

Dj RaggaRae can adapt to any type of setting, engaging with any size audience while loving to curate sets for intimate bar gigs and private events to club nights and large upscale music festivals.

The Trader Bar

Dj RaggaRae was welcomed for the first time to The Trader Bar in December, and with huge success was the only venue in Darwin to be playing Afrobeats all night.
Look out for when Dj RaggaRae will be gracing The Trader Bar again!

Sunday REGGAE Session
Dj RaggaRae begun Darwin’s ‘Sunday REGGAE Session’ in August 2021 once a month at Dom’s Bar & Lounge which lasted for 2 years. It has now been featured at De La Plage with an audience of over 350 in August 2023 & 2024, and is always looking to further it’s success to venues across Darwin to lover’s of Reggae Music.

CLUB AWI OPENING NIGHT – DARWIN FESTIVAL 2023

DJ RaggaRae took the stage by storm, delivering an unforgettable live performance that had the entire crowd moving to the rhythms of Reggae, Dancehall, and Afro genres.
This was a night of epic proportions, with the thunderous big bass lines that reverberated through the night, and the familiar, yet mind-blowing banging edits and epic horn lines that kept the energy soaring all night long.

Dj RaggaRae was featured at Imagine Seaside Carnival at De La Plage in 2021 & 2022.

Dj RaggaRae played three sets throughout the evenings of Reggae, Dancehall & Afro to continue the upful vibes for the crowd between band sets.

On the bill were artists such as Sarong Samarai, Mista Savona, Elf Tranzporter, Katanga Junior, JAHquavis, Mista Monk, Wildwater, Fuego Del Mar & Charly Templar.
