
Hairstylist
Renée Lalor is a hairstylist known for her holistic approach, creative flair of telling stories through her canvas which is hair, and has coined the phrase ‘cultural hairstylist’ from her passion of collaborating with different cultures.
Renée’s work has been published in Stella Magazine, been featured in an installation named ‘Island Fashion’ at Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art, various cultural calendars, and for a documentary named Tep Top – Reading Between Our Lines.
Over her extensive 30 year career and trained by leading world dominators Toni & Guy, Renée has also styled hair for Australian Fashion Week, Sydney Fashion Week, various fashion shows, photo shoots and music video’s.
Becoming the Northern Territory’s first organic concept studio in 2014, Renée prides herself on her growing and committed natural approach to traditional hairdressing.
“Nothing sets my soul on fire like collaborating with creatives of different cultures to complete a visual or tell a story through my canvas which is hair. I could never have stepped into the ‘Cultural Hairstyling’ space without the wisdom keepers and storytellers who have trusted me in the sharing of their culture, and i will always be thankful and honoured to have had, and continue to have the opportunity to listen.”

Workshops
Empowering girls and women is at the core of Renée’s passion, along with imparting long lasting skills and wellbeing. As a mother of multiracial daughters, Renée feels at home in this space, and loves that her experience and skills can be making a difference to those less fortunate.

Dj RaggaRae
Renée AKA Dj RaggaRae, is a connoisseur of infectious accented beats and heavy bass lines promoting conscious lyrics and high vibes. While staying true to her pure Reggae roots, Renée enjoys introducing her audience to a range of musical genres including pumping Dancehall and Afrobeats.
